"When the bully feels threatened in the exercise of his power, he refuses confrontation in terms of logic and reason and demonstrates to the anonymous observer's inability to create breeding grounds for compromise and civilized resolution of problems. Incompressible force of his resentment against dissent and opposition commissioned the ultimate use of available means in this case, repression and punishment ... "HR
After the recent affronts to link Russel Memory Bouchard, CMDRSM recidivism by an unprecedented action against director and spokesman of the Clan Lake St-Jean/Piékouagamy.
On January 18 administrators and members of the Clan Lake Metis St-Jean/Piékouagamy were notified by a letter signed by the Grand Chief Jean-Rene Tremblay CMDRSM that the Board of Directors of the Métis community of Domaine du Roy and Lordship archipelago (CMDRSM) retired - without further ado - his trust in administrators and representatives of the Clan, in retaliation for the failure of the latter to sign the document entitled "The roles and mandates of the clans." A document developed and adopted without prior consultation with those involved and imposed chieftains February 27, 2009 in mock discussions open and respectful (sic) convened by the Grand Chief Jean-Rene Tremblay. A document that shows the protagonists to the excesses of the exercise of power - as evidenced by the recent actions against Russel Bouchard and his work, and this resolution of the Board of CMDRSM me personally is As spokesman for the Lake Metis Clan St-Jean/Piékouagamy, ignoring and ignorant at the same time the recommendations and appeals to reason the Council of Women of CMDRSM.
An unprecedented move if there is one that reveals a deep malaise and a profound misunderstanding of the principles underlying the march of peoples and more specifically that the Metis Borealie and Quebec as a whole. A gesture that takes over the feud that of pure reason.
I find it deplorable and regrettable the sanction imposed by the Board of CMDRSM to our clan of course, but nevertheless we should be quite satisfied with this turn of events since the "liberation" from them allows us to relieve stress monolithic power of people and so achieve several key objectives that members of the Clan Lake St-Jean/Piékouagamy had agreed at the last general meeting or, stand together general objectives of the CMDRSM (recognition of one or more historic communities in Boreal), preserving the gains and the interest of members of the Metis Clan and maintain the political independence of the Clan facing major issues that concern them and what In the Aboriginal tradition that refers to both the search for consensus as to the respect and the right to dissent. Exactly as stated in the resolution adopted by the General Meeting of the Clan Lake Metis St-Jean/Piékouagamy 1 March 2009 (?) Namely: ... It is resolved to instruct their representatives, spokespersons and members of AC in an informed and act responsibly in the interest of members of the clan, and developing a "modus operandi" acceptable to the parties, reflecting their solidarity with the general objectives of the CMDRSM and willingness to participate in its shares, which alters nor calls into question the ability of the clan to work in the community and to govern themselves according to local priorities and hopes to develop its own integration structure in the middle, its own network of antennas on the forums political, social, economic, legal and communications. All to be discussed and agreed by members of the Clan, in general meeting ...
Following this resolution we sent our complaints to the Grand Chief who turned a deaf ear until 18 January.
Clan Lake Metis St-Jean/Piékouagamy continue despite this sad episode to inform the Metis who make up the community of their rights and work to ensure political independence, the right to dissent and free will, and that the "right to the chapter" of its members once recognition obtained. Therefore I urge them to remain CMDRSM members as they were invited to do so while continuing to support and participate in the Clan. Administrators and representatives of the Clan Lake Metis St John / Piékouagamy will review these issues at the General Meeting of the Clan to be held as scheduled in the month of March.
Richard Harvey, Métis and spokesman of the Clan Lake Metis St-Jean/Piékouagamy
P. S bet that the next target of the Great Leader will certainly be the Women's Council that he has repudiated once but twice!
